So here's my much belated Easter post. We waited until after church and had Kevin hide about two dozen plastic eggs in the back yard. We took Thomas out with his Easter basket. He looked at us like we were crazy when we told him we had to find eggs in the back yard. Soon, we pointed him in the right direction. He found his first egg that had M&M's in it. He shook it and was amazed. We told him he could open it in the house. He found the second egg. This one was empty. He shook it, and shook the one that was filled. Upon discovering that the second was empty- he chucked it on the ground and walked away! Too funny. He started to get the hang of it all and was having a blast.

Mom and Dad had dropped by the house with presents when we were at church. They gave him a bucket of eggs with a little trowel and hand rake in addition to a kid's plastic, shovel, rake and hoe, and broom. He loves it. He is obsessed with garbage and sweeping and helping. (I think this is a blessing. We will have to see in time.) He was pushing them all around the house for the rest of the day just thrilled to pieces.
After all the hub-bub died down, I noticed that Thomas got very quiet. He was in the living room carefully taking apart every single egg one at a time.
I sat by him and was putting them all together again and he would keep pulling them from the bucket to break them again. We had fun for about 5 minutes doing this. It was hilarious. The face he would make each time he pulled them apart was filled with surprise and an, "OH!" He had such a great day.

1 additional ramblings:
