Dopplegangers!

For any of you who have young kids and watch the Disney Channel, you may know the show I'm referencing. Ever heard of Imagination Movers? It's not show we regularly watch, so all I know is there are four guys who play instruments in a warehouse with a mouse.

Now out of these four guys I know three guys who look like them. It's hilarious. My brother in law, Sean looks like Smitty.

My brother in law, Rob, looks like Dave. And my dear friend, Jesse, looks like Scott.

Does anyone else see shows and think- "Wow, they look just like so and so!"? Or is it just me and the Imagination Movers?

Do you have your tickets yet?

The Twilight Moms are at it again! Events By Alice is throwing yet another bash for the premiere of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. Do you have your tickets for the Party on the Plaza?
You may see a familiar face... here... no wait...HERE!

It appears performances are free for the public, but if you want to get in on all the action happening, including a ticket for the midnight showing (with bonus performances from yours truly...) you might want to get a jump on it. There are two theater rooms for us and one is already filled! If you aren't up to staying up all hours of the night just to see a movie but would like to hang out with all of us anyway- tickets are just $10. It's all at the Jordan Landing. It should be a fun night!

My adorable niece...and my sister's obsession with Star Trek

You know it's bad when your sister's twins (age 3) can recite the opening monologue to Star Trek. Both Riley and Colten can say it. Riley however has a flair for the dramatic and delivers it with such passion, I had to post her video.

Grief and gratitude

No words can describe the grief, horror and despair felt after I read the whole story regarding little Ethan Stacy. I had gotten home from a late night at dance, and checked ksl.com. I don't check the news often because I worry too much about Kevin being out there in the middle of it all. So I hadn't heard this boy had even been "missing". My heart broke and tears welled instantly in my eyes. How could anyone do something so horrible to an innocent Child of God? Despite the late hour, I rushed across the hall to Thomas' room and picked up my sleeping boy. I held him as I cried. Praying to my Heavenly Father, how grateful I was for my son and how grateful I was that Ethan was now with him and out of those monster's hands. I am grateful that those who do love that little boy on the other side are now surrounding him with that unconditional love and support. I know we have all been affected in some degree by this occurance. Let it be a reminder to hold our children a little tighter and say I love you a few more times when our patience is running out. Cherish each moment and recognize them for the blessings they are.

A hug for your soul

So I found this song the other week, and I fell in love. It brought tears to my eyes. The message is so simple and her voice is perfection. I suggest listening to this song while outside looking at the flowers and the mountains and feeling the sun on your face and the breeze at your back. Then listen to it again as you watch your children play or sleep. It's in those simple moments with simple words that we can connect with God and truly understand His love for us. I hope that I can live my life so when the time does come, I can say "I've lived it full. I've lived it well. I'm ready now to fly from the highest wing."
